Since returning from my first trip trekking in Nepal I have wanted to visit Patagonia since it is home to several of the “Classic” must-do treks usually listed with the ones I did in Nepal, the Annapurna Circuit/Sanctuary and Everest Base Camp. Somehow, when the bounds of the original trip to cycle the Great Divide Trail expanded to include Patagonia the scope creep continued until I was visiting a major portion of South America. Below is a rough itinerary of everywhere I plan to visit. You’ll notice some open-jaw segments which is where the roughness begins. Due to ongoing warming and chilling of relations between Chile and Argentina I’m not even sure the trip is possible as listed below. Finding out if I can make it work will be half of the adventure.

You should be able to find a pretty HTML version of the very latest itinerary as it morphs into something feasible here (LAN tends to change the times on at least one flight a week so this link should also accurately reflect the frequent schedule changes).Understandably most people will not know where some of the smaller towns I’m flying into are located.  All of the towns are shown on the map below and should give you an idea of where in South America I am.Cities services by LAN Airlines
