The begining of a great adventure …
As my friend Martin Davis said, “Congratulate Paula on being such a brave woman.” Right after accepting my proposal, Go2Call.com was acquired by Delta Three and I was laid off. Paula being Paula was the first to say, “Perfect! Now you can go on the bike trip with Chuck AND plan the wedding.”
So while he is gallivanting around South America, I get to organize the trip, arrange logistics (anyone driving through Antelope Wells, NM in May?) and look for sponsorship (Gary Fisher are you listening?) This probably means we will be completely unprepared, we’re riding to Antelope Wells from El Paso and we are paying everything out of our own pockets. Ironically I’m a project manager, so you would think I’d be on top of this stuff, but I like to keep my professional life and personal life separate. Besides what kind of adventure would it be if we were organized?

Willie-
I agree with your approach to this trip. If it is all organized then it can’t be much of an adventure:-)
